Yellow Tourmaline is a relatively common form of tourmaline. It can range from transparent to opaque. The clean crystals are cut and used in jewelry for their attractive color and luster. The gemstone can be used to imitate yellow sapphire.
Occurrence
A fibrous yellow tourmaline occurs in Sri Lanka. Other localities of yellow tourmaline include Namibia, Brazil, and Tanzania.
