Satin spar is a fibrous variety of gypsum, polished or is cut en cabochon. The rough satin spar stone has a parallel fibrous structure. When cut en cabochon, a satin spar stone may display a cat’s eye effect.
Occurrence
Satin Spar is usually found in England, Italy, Chile, the USA, Mexico, and Italy.
