Brazilianite is a rare and unusual gemstone. It is cut for collectors only due to its low hardness, which is 5½ on the Mohs hardness scale. Brazilianite is yellow or yellowish-green. Its crystals are fragile and brittle, with a conchoidal fracture and perfect cleavage perpendicular to their length.

Brazilianite was found in Minas Gerais in Brazil in 1944. At first, it was thought to be chrysoberyl. However, closer inspection revealed it to be a completely new mineral. It was named after the country in which it was found. Brazilianite is often confused with beryl, topaz, and chrysoberyl. It is common to find a Brazilianite crystal along with apatite crystals in a matrix.

Brazilianite appears as a slightly ribbed and transparent crystal. It has a zingy, high-energy vibration that empowers the spiritual will and assists manifestation. The stone is connected to Atlantis and is highly creative in terms of spirituality. It opens metaphysical gifts and shows how to achieve apparently supernatural feats that are within expanded human capabilities.

If you misused such energies in Atlantis, it cleanses the past and re-empowers your soul integrity.

Psychologically, if you have difficulty in establishing boundaries for yourself and others, Brazilianite assists in knowing where you end and others begin. It teaches how to say no and prevents psychic intrusion into your space. The stone overcomes a martyr or victim mentality, especially if this has a past-life root. It teaches how to be a proud survivor.

Brazilianite is stone of right action. So, it assists in setting limits and is particularly handy in laying down rules for teenagers testing parental boundaries. The stone also assists if others push your boundaries if these are too tight because of fear or precious abuse. It helps in taking responsibility for yourself, standing on an edge, and moving forward confidently knowing that you follow the rightness of your soul path.

Emotionally, it assists in becoming aware of your vulnerabilities especially if these have long been denied. If emotions such as resentment have been holding you back, these stones transmute them and assists in forgiving yourself. Giving emotional strength, brazilianite teaches how to find your core strength rather than growing a carapace to cover vulnerability but leaving a black hole in your emotional center.

Physically, brazilianite assists energy flow and circulation within the body. It clears meridians and removes excess heat.
